CONFORMATIONAL ASSESSMENT

The Institute has begun a series of regional conformational assessment clinics that build on the 2006 Symposium. The first was held March 20, 2010, in Wisconsin, held in cooperation with the Wisconsin Egyptian Arabian Horse Association. Featuring Dr. John Shelle, Michigan State University, it was attended by more than 75 people. The second was held August 6–7, 2010, in Lynchburg, VA. Future clinics will be announced on our news feed as they are scheduled.

CLINICS

Susan Mayo hosts a clinic each October in Denton, TX for those interested in beginning to show their horses.  The first day is instructional. The second day, attendees participate in the Susar Farm Open Show and receive feedback. Check our news feed for the schedule. For further information, contact Susan at susarinc1@verizon.net . Susan also has written a series of short articles to help people train their own horses and is creating a series of videos on working with the very young (unhandled) horse.
